King and Sailfish

Went out Friday with Nguyen on his boat. New it was going to be interesting when right away two rods went off together! Landed one king,lost the other. Things slowed down so we trolled, nothing, then as soon as we started a drift my spinning rod went off and a Sailfish went airborne, put on a great show, almost spooled, had to back down,got it alongside, unhooked revived and released. Spectacular fish,but didn't get any pix.

Haven't posted since April , so i thought is was time to update. Went thursday with the kayak club to Round Island Park ,Fort Pierce. Did the crack of dawn , had a great day, caught lots of fish , really cool place. Wish it was closer.

Jensen Beach Causeway again

Went back to the Causeway yesterday with Sam. Windy out of the west, choppy, so we went into lake area where we found Reds last time. They didn"t show up but Sam had fun with catfish and had a little Tarpon interested. I lost a good fish,maybe snook or red, wrapped me around a piling. Then came redemption, I trolled and hit trout, one after another. We fished around the river, looking for sheltered areas and new spots.

Peanut Island

Saturday went with Nguyen and family boating to Peanut Island. Nice relaxing day on the water, but Peanut Island, what a Zoo! Tons of people and boaters. Sat on beach and people watched all day. Camera battery gave out after just a few shots. Had a fishing tournament weighin right next to us, in the afternoon. About a dozen 30 foot contenders,sea- vee's,mako's, ect.with young buff co-ed crews shoe-horned on the beach alongside us. looked like a girls-gone-wild shoot! Sorry,but no pictures.

Recent activity

I haven't posted lately so here is an update. Went last week , fished Jensen Beach Causeway with Sam and Steve and Jim. It was a " almost" day. Sam got a nice Redfish and I "almost" got one ,too.Lost mine at the boat, then lost a big trout at the boat.Had some really good fish on but only landed one small trout.
